What is Personal Training?

That depends on the client. Everyone has an individual and specific need or set of needs that they wish to attain. They also have their own problems, limitations and skills gaps specific just to them. Personal training is just that - Personal! I do not offer a ‘cookie-cutter’ approach to my sessions. They vary as much as the client does. I am also not a ‘salesman’. If you would like some honest advice, at no obligation, please feel free to send me an email.

Adventure Racing

Sometimes the hardest part of Adventure Racing is finding a or a couple of like minded (often crazy!) people to join in to form a team.  It can also be quite daunting as there is a fair bit to learn - equipment, race strategy and navigation - but it's always best when you're having fun!

Mountain Biking

Love riding but lack the knowledge, confidence or fitness or just don't want to go out alone? Great local rides incorporating Daisy Hill, Gap Creek and Mt Cootha, Mt Nebo, Lake Manchester, Nerang Forest, Samford and Ferny Grove region.  Don't have a bike? I've got a spare one!


Backpacking

Push to the next level by adding some multi-day action.  3-5 day hikes and scrambles in New Zealand, Tasmania and the Blue Mountains take you to some of the most beautifal and untouched landscapes in the world.  These are physical adventures but can be completed and modified to suit all levels.

Hiking

Get out into the wild.  Expereince the best that the bush has and put your fitness to use.  Local hikes let you explore in and around Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast Hinterland.  Throw in a couple of famous mountains from the easy Mt Ngungun in the Glasshouse region to a tough Mt Barney (one of the largest mountains in South East Queensland).

Neuro - Lymphatic Facilitation

60 MINUTES $100

Ever felt like you are not performing at an optimal level?  The body and mind connect in a wide , weird and surprising way.  The body is more than muscles and bones and when it comes to increasing performance, muscle activation or just to feel more open than ever before, this treatment series is perfect for you.  This is NOT a massage although physical manipulation will occur.  This MAY not be comfortable!! Not just physically but may also be confronting mentally and emotionally as many things can present when undergoing treatment.  This IS NOT for everyone BUT, those that are bold enough to participate are guaranteed results or the service is free of charge.  

 

Activated Mobility

60 MINUTES POA • 90 MINUTES POA

This is NOT a flexibility session! Utilising the principles from FRC - Functional Range Conditioning, this session is often hard work.  Strengthening end range of joints provides the freedom for the body to feel comfortable to move into new and most importantly "usable range". Traditional stretching often attempts to push the joints into ranges that they are not ready for which can lead to the exact opposite result!  Personalised to your body - this is not a session that is always the same.  Your body needs it's own individual treatment to improve.

 

Mobility Group Classes

60 MINUTES POA • 90 MINUTES POA

Using standard Mobility strategies linked with movements from the renowned FRC structure, a typical class format incorporates CARS (controlled articular rotations), multiple base positions with PAILS (progressive angular isometric loading) and RAILS (regressive angular isometric loading), many movement extensions, breath work to excite and to calm - it is a complete work out!  This session requires intensive effort in the MIND & the BODY.
